Live Event and Audio / Video Production


  • Extensive background in Producing and Directing live events, and multimedia projects. Over 1,400 events in the last 15 years in the United States, Australia and Europe.


  • Production Manager for 3 seasons of Auto Show tours and product reveals. Clients included - Chrysler, Volkswagen, General Motors, and Mini Cooper. Selected and procured materials and rental equipment; made arrangements for freight, union labor, and crew travel on tours; tracked expenses and met budgets for $300,000 – $1.2 mil projects spanning 3 years.  


  • Program / Production Manager for 5 national Harley Davidson tours in the U.S. in addition to events in Australia and Europe reaching over 30,000 total attendees with 99% satisfaction rating. Managed a traveling crew of 20, in addition to truckloads full of lighting, staging, video, and sound gear. Responsible for everything from creative concept, to site surveys, hotel negotiations, logistics, convention services, union labor, travel and materials.


  • Spearheaded program production, live presentations and operations of a 90,000-square-foot facility with accountability for P&L results. Developed internal and external clients by providing innovative and cost-effective business solutions. Generated creative concepts and thematic design; directed and oversaw technical execution for hundreds of events and trade show exhibits. Controlled budgets; engaged caterers, freelancers, talent and union labor. Managed relationships.


  • Orchestrated the project life cycle for high-profile initiatives with budgets to $1.2 million. Production Manager, Producer and Director for events, auto shows and tours coast-to-coast in the U.S. Australia and Europe. Captained programs that generated $4,000,000 in revenue.


  • Served as Associate Director / Coordinating Producer for Tigers baseball, Red Wings hockey, Pistons basketball, CCHA hockey, Univ. of Detroit basketball for 4 seasons.

Operations Management / Project Management


  • Directed daily operations of a multimedia agency specializing in live global events, high-definition video production, marketing campaigns, and instructional design. Responsible for client relations, new business development, and strategic and tactical planning. Implemented inventory and project management software to ensure projects were delivered on time and on budget.


  • Developed and implemented complete operations framework and saved $3.5M per year at Ford Motor Company.  Recruited into conference and event center startup where no policies or procedures were in place to ensure successful operation.  Created billing, scheduling, maintenance, and training procedures and benchmarked local venues and rental houses.  Hired, trained, and managed an in-house staff of live production engineers and IT techs. 


  • As a Senior Project Manager, routinely oversaw as many as 25 projects simultaneously.


  • Made a case that secured $450,000 for the purchase of capital equipment; eliminated rental costs and recouped the investment within 3 years; improved reliability of audio / visual services for Ford Motor Company.


  • Improved efficiency and productivity of GM’s multi-media activities by 37% at WRS.  Recruited as partner to support contract for GM’s creative, legal and internal-external multi-media needs.  Led team in design of a four-suite video editing and duplication house plus layout of new media library.  Developed staffing plan and operations procedures to ensure that billing and budgets were met. 


  • Responsible for the transmission of all of GM's internal and external communications via satellite and fiber. Eliminated overtime 30% per month, significantly reducing costs.  Created graphics for executive video presentations and assisted the senior editor in executing creative solutions to meet clients’ communication goals.  Supported studio productions in various roles.
